I can not test this myself as I do not have a slvr yet, I will be getting one shortly, and my brother has my razr(its a sad story for later). but while you are not able to get full screen video there is a way to rotate it i think. Using windows movie maker if you take ur movie before encoding it for the slvr and do this: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadv ice/0075.mspx#EPD
Goto the section about "Rotating videos I have taken with my digital camera"
then encode it and you should gain a little space and this should make it easier to read text. But as I said i have not tested this and I would appreciate it if anyone that tests it could post here with their results.

alright well a guy has said he used Videora convertor, it's free and it works but I'm wondering which Mpeg 4 format I would set it to on Videora convertor and the resolution and everything.... but, also how I should add it to my SLVR L7 b/c using the program it says it's to big even when I split the movie into 50mb files and when I try to put it on the phone directly it says invalid format so I think If i get it in the right Mpeg 4 format it should work.... So can anyone help me out?

okay, so i was just wondering since the video ipod can play movies, shouldn't there be an extremely difficult way that we can alter the iTunes application on the SLVR so that it could play videos. and make them the way we want them (sideways)? reply to me if you think you have the right knowledge for this little project so we can work together

It wouldn't be feasible the Itunes is built into the pds, upgrading the itunes would involve delving into the pds of the phone, and therefore would only be for your phone, its not like you could just flash it in to every phone, because pds is IMEI Specific, however, there might be a way to make a java app to play movies, but it would be difficult and wouldn't be connected to the itunes, it would be more like a supplement, its not saying it couldn't be done tho

i read that the slvr l7e is going to have a full screen sideways playback view, the same as the new razr, or krzr one of those. it has the options button while your playing back a video or photo. so there might be a way to update the firmware for the slvr l7 to the l7e. im not sure im jsut guessing like the psp can update firmwares and homebrew and stuff

No the L7e is more than likely going to have different firmware than the l7, the flashes and flexes aren't going to be interchangeable.

if anyone is still wondering clonedvd mobile converts dvd's to slvr format perfectly as mp4's and there's no lag and the sync is perfect. and if you wanted to convert an avi or mpg or something you could just convert them out to dvd format then convert to slvr format mp4

also, is there anything else you can do with the slvr thats pretty cool? i just got it and the only thing i can think of is movies and episodes, i was tinking since there is a micro sd theres gotta be a little more cool things you could do
