Hi

I tried to save the melody as create smaf 40 chords .. using time bass = 240 as it mentioned in the psm player ... but when I wanted to upload it to my mobile using the easy studio ... the easy studio could not play it only after I changed the time bass to 120 ( this time bass is for smaf 16 chords ) .. why ??

Thnx

Ok - I tried a few different methods and finally found one that worked (partially). This is for a e715 and my OS is XP pro. Other application versions mentioned below:

I used the ICQ "LOL" wav file for this ringtone.

1 ) opened file in cooledit 96
2 ) saved file at sample rate of 8000, 16bit, mono.
3 ) opened file into PSMplayer version 5 (Good work Don!)
4 ) selected file\create SMAF\SMAF 16 chord (EZ web)
5 ) Note that i did check the vibra and led options for this ringtone
6 ) opened easy GPRS version 2.1.8
7 ) selected tool\melody to phone
8 ) click "select" then located the file and clicked "upload"

thats it. The tone appeared in my ringtones with all the factory pre-set ones.

This may help some noobies who are having trouble

The problem:
The problem is the vibra.
* When i have the phone ring type set on "melody" i only get the sound and LED - no vibra
* When i have the phone set to melody+vibra i get several seconds of vibra and LED only (no sound) and then i get sounds and LED and no vibra following that for the rest of the ring! This is exactly the same as the factory pre-set ring tones. It frustrates the hell out of me as i keep missing my phone as i cant hear it ringing untill its too late and my voice mail grabs it!

How can i get the ring and vibra to start SIMULTANEOUSLY as soon as the phone rings?

please help gurus!

thanks
AL

Is this old news???

I see people saying they are having trouble converting their MIDI files to .MMF but have you tried just uploading the MIDI file to your phone?

I did it on my E700 by accident and was surprised to see it go fine.
