Make sure you get an analog phone!!
Your 6000 was a digital phone and will only work with digital towers versus analog phones that work with analog and digital towers.

here are the text book (as iut applies to cel phones definitions....at the bottom I'll give you the more realistic answer
analog The 'traditional' form of wireless, which has been used since wireless was introduced. An analog signal consists of continuously varying voltages that electronically replicate the original signal. If viewed on an oscilloscope, the analog signal (voice, video, or image) would produce a pattern that looks just like the original. In telecommunications, analog generally refers to telephone transmission or switching that is not digital.
digital Capable of representation in binary code. In telecommunications, digital technology has two major practical benefits. First, the signal can be regenerated precisely, allowing a exact reproduction of the signal during transmission amplification. Second, the electronic circuitry needed to handle digital is getting less expensive and more powerful.
so basically the switching equipment is the major difference... analog switch is a machine... a digital switch is a computer....

Me and my other half are getting married in May and would like to get verizon phones with the best reception. We will live in an area where my current phone (LG VX6000) works on and off...drops calls all the times.
In your opinion what current verizon phone has the best reception?
Also do you know of any sites that rate reception?
Thanks for all your help!

Hi:
Ihave just purchase a Motorola v276. In the area that I live, It's hard to get a reception. The v276 get a great reception. It is a tri phone. Best of all it is not expensive. I have several phones from samsung to LG. None has the reception that the v276 has. Hope this will help.
