I have 2 RAZR V3's. Both purchased on eBay. My carrier is Cingular.
I used an online service to unlock the T-Mobile phone and now use both with Cingular for making phone calls.
My problem is that the T-Mobile phone still has all the web settings for T-Mobile kinda hard coded. In fact there is not even a "web access" menu selection on the T-Mobile phone. This phone can't access the web or recieve ringtone downloads, etc.
I know there must be a file available that I can download to the phone.
I have the following s/w installed:
Motorola Phone tools
PST
MultiFashFlex.exe
WinAce for archive files.
Just looking to be pointed in the correct direction.

Hey, I had a similar problem too, pretty much exactly the same, actually. No one was able to help me out, but one sunday I spent pretty much the whole day poking around on the phone and I got it to work.
You'll need to install p2kmenueditor. From there, you will need to find the option to show something like "available menu icons", and turn on "Web Access"--this will edit the seem and re-save it to the phone, and give you the ability to access and edit the Web Sessions. You will then need to either use OTA programming or manually input all the info for Cingular WAP and MMS (which is what I did). This information can be done with simple googling and searching.
I can go into more indepth later, but right now I'm busy in class so I can't provide the exact details off the top of my head. Download p2kmenueditor and see if you can find the option yourself, if not reply back and I will help you out, since I too knew how difficult this way.

Use a flex or a flexlash for cingular from http://www.planetmotox.net/flex.php or http://www.planetmotox.net/flexlash.php
For how to do this look here:

The menu editor sounds like the easiest as I can look up all the WAp setting on the Cingular phone. But flexing sounds like fun!!!.
Thanks,
Brad

You will probably find you have problems accessing MediaNet without a Cingular flex even if you have all the settings - there are known problems with this

It personally works for me, but yes I am aware there are problems. I was kind of over flexing just because I'm really good at messing things up I'm just one of the lucky ones, I would say it's a safer option to try if he's over flexing, but yes certainly just installing a cingular flex will pretty much guarantee it will all work.
by the way, this is the screen you're looking for in P2KMenuEditor:
It is under Tools --> Hidden Menu Items.
You will of course want to select "Web Sessions" and then whatever else fits your liking, if you decide to go with the menu editor path

I am having the exact same problem with the 2 T Mobile Razr phones I purchased on ebay. I took the phones to my local Cingular dealer and was told that Cingular could not do anything and I should contact Motorola. I called Motorola support and was told that they (Motorola) could not uninstall theT Mobile software because of "an agreement" with the service provider. I can use all functions except multimedia. HELP!!

As far as unlocking the phone:
I've seen a sticky thread in this forum on doing it yourself.
I used GSMLIBERTY.COM and did it online, but don't have medianet access yet.

Flex as above - all the Cingular stuff will be gone and you will have all the T Mo stuff.
Unlocking is a separate issue - check the sticky as Brad says

Flex was sucessful. Now have 2 Cingular phones with full functionality. But now I want to learn how I can "tweak" them. Time for more reading.
