I just got a VX8100 and its firmware is 06. I just found out that I need to re-activate my mp3 player. I am just wondering if i do it, does it void me of any warranties and such?

Hi Alfonse
Re-enabling MP3 should NOT void your warranty. Here's how:
OK(Menu) = 0 = 000000 = Option 11. Music Setting - check MP3 enable.
CAREFUL - The Service Menu can damage your phone, so it's not wise to experiment. This Menu is intended for the Verizon Techs.

I have another slight question, this icon appeared on my desktop for the main screen and it shows a blue person with sound waves coming out? what is that?

OK(Menu) - right-right "Settings & Tools" - 4. System - 3. Device Info. - 3. Icon Glossary
This will explain all the possible ICONS on your VX8100.
And, by the way, YOU'RE WELCOME
