i have a t-mobile v3i phone (so its a vt3 phone i guess)

i have used p2kman and seem edit to edit seem 32 record 1 (0032_0001) offset 40 bit 6 to be zero (as zero is for phone storage of SMS's as opposed to 1 for sim storage).
i get 'ok' messages, yet the phone is unaffected. i have clicked 'restart phone' in p2kman, and also turned it off and on.
i have done all this with UBS connection set to data/fax - as opposed to memory card.

1) any ideas how to get this to work?

2) how many texts will i be able to store on the phone? (currently i get about 80 on the sim.)

On the V3i edit SEEM 0032_0001 offset 9A - bit 1: Messages > menu > Message Setup > Text Msg Setup > Store To: (SIM/Phone) (1 on, 0 off)

and you will get a menu option to choose storage location

Hi all,
To start with, the message storage change to (SIM/Phone) Seem 0032:0001 offset 9A bit 1 set to one worked for me with a V3e, I know it is the same hardware as V3i, but this message may help people to play with their V3e with no fear. So this said, I would like to thank all the people who contributed with their knowledge, experience and time! icon_biggrin.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

I still have 1 problem that I read some people here also had it but haven't seen the solution yet so I ask, what should I do to make the "Low Memory" message stop appearing every time I get a message? I know this has to do with the phone still believing the message storage is the SIM.

Thanks everyone

Gabriel

Ok. I've got myself a problem. I used the Seem Editor that you make mikekay10 to allow more texts on my RAZR v3r. Well, it wasnt working so I did what you told the guy with the V3i to do (I have v3r) and it worked. Well I wanted to re-do it to make sure I did it right (I made a backup before I changed anything) and then I restored my phone with the backup.

Well, it changed everything. My razr is all messed up. Most of the buttons dont work, it wont turn off, and everything is all changed. I can't get to messages either. So what am I supposed to do?

P.S. I have my brothers RAZR (Exact same as mine) right next to me. I already tried to backup his 0032-0001 seem and then restore mine. but no luck.

Well the problem is definitely with SEEM 0032_0001

If you are having problems with seem changer you could try p2kman or p2k tools

I'm not sure why sem changer is giving you problems - its pretty well tested but see if one of the other programs works for you

I'm workin on editing so I can handle more texts on a 'new' razr i just got. And last time I did it I swear you have to change a setting on the actual phone, in the mssage setup. Does anybody what this is? Because as of right now I did the Seem Edit and my Inbox is full at 30.
