I ordered a free Motorola Razr VC3 last Wednesday on the Verizon online store using my new every 2 discount. Normally I would just swing by a Verizon store to get a phone but the deal said online only and I never remember to send in the mail in rebates. Since Wednesday the status of the order still says order recieved check back tomorrow. My credit card has still not been charged for the accessories I ordered with the phone.
How long does it typically take for Verizon to send out orders, and are they usually prompt with sending out tracking numbers? Its not just that I am being impatient, but since it is signature required I need to know when I will be recieving the phone so I can make sure someone is available to sign for it. I was also a little taken back that it did not say how it was being shipped or give me any shipping options when I placed the order. I probably would have payed a premium for overnight shipping so I could have gotten the phone before the weekend. If anyone would care to add their experiences from ordering from Verizon Online it would be appreciated. I am in northern Jersey about 40 miles outside of NYC if that helps. Thanks.

Shame on me? Thats pretty condescending. I ordered this phone 5 days ago and my order status still says check back tomorrow. If its backordered, then fine, just let me know. I have had better experiences ordering through power sellers on ebay. At least they eventually respond to my emails.
All I know is this will be the last time I order anything through Verizon online.

If you have usefull information or insight, please feel free to share otherwise don't bother. I appreciate that you are the only one who has posted in here so far, but if this topic is of no interest to anyone then it should just die.
I think I am being reasonable. All I want is to have some idea when my order will be fullfilled. According to my initial order confirmation, today is when I should have recieved the package at the latest, and so far all I have is a confirmation that they recieved my order. If this was an online retailer I did not know, this is the point where I would be cancelling my order and notifying my credit card company not to accept any charges.

Is that just the general customer service number, or specifically for online orders? From reading previous complaint threads, there were various numbers for online orders varying by region. But the the one for the northeast didnt seem to be in service anymore. I did try calling the general customer service number to see if they could connect me, but I gave up after 15 minutes of hold time. I will try again the when my work week ends. (I usually only have an hour free between when I am sleeping and when I am at work)

You know, I really don't know why you seem to take such offense to my complaint. I usually have an hour free between when I get up, and when I head in to work. I usually prefer to use that time for things like eating, shaving and getting dressed.
As it is, I decided to go in an hour late today so I could call. It was a 40 minute call including hold time and the time actually dealing with a representative. I was given a loose promise that my order would be processed tomorrow. I was happy that they said everyone's orders are being upgraded to overnight shipping because of the recent delays.
My dissatisfaction with the online store is how hard it is to get accurate information about the status of my order. From other forums, I have learned that most people from the east coast are experiencing one week delays with their orders. I only got this information from reading internet forums and lengthy phone calls to verizon. All I recieved in my email was the initially order confirmation saying I should recieve my delivery in 2-5 business days. I have sent several email to Verizon and I have not even recieved a response that my question is being looked at.
I think this thread is a valid complaint and good heads up for anyone else thinking about ordering. If I had seen a thread like this before I ordered I probably would have bought in store instead.

knowing how impatient you are...you should've went to the store.
Thats all i'm saying!!
BUT instead you thought you could be cheap and go online. So there are pros and cons to everything. YOU BOUGHT FROM THE ONLINE STORE and you got to wait to receive it. YOU BUY FROM THE STORE and you got to dish out money for rebate and fill out a tiny mail in coupon, and no waiting for phone!!!
Stop whining there are delays with everything! If you needed you're razor that fast you would have went to the store!!!!!!!!
