Could you please let me know my options now that I have a locked phone? Thank you very much Tmobile for providing the wrong instructions and unlock code.

If it is Tmobile's fault, why not ask them to fix it.

It's their fault I don't have it fixed already, I couldn't imagine them being helpful.

May be you can try talking to Samsung. If they help to flash your phone, it usually returned with an unbranded firmware. That is what other people said in their post.
If you know how to flash the phone, you can also try doing it by yourself. You need a data cable and the Optiflash software. Check the following thread:
http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic4919.html
There are also unlock software that may be able to repair the phone but those software are usually very expensive.
You can also try the cellphone accessories stores that provide unlock service. Some of them may know how to fix it.

That sounds like a good idea to talk to Samsung. Does anybody have an email address or phone number for the mobile department?

I called Samsung and they will flash the phone for me, but they said they'll replace the Tmobile software on it so I'll be right where I started. Tmobile won't give me a correct code now so I don't know what to do.

I think it is still better with a working Tmobile phone than a non-working one. Once you get back the phone from Samsung, you can tell whether it is still locked to Tmobile. If yes, you have to find a way to unlock it. I would suggest some 3rd party professional unlock service at a small fee.

I think I'm more interested in doing it myself now, where can I get a data cable that will work with the E715?

I can get into the phone and SIM card with the following instructions, but when I restart the phone it takes me back to the "Phone Locked" screen and doesn't take me to a SIM unlock code screen where I can enter 8 zeros. Is there any way to get to that screen without rebooting? Thanks!
Reset eeprom by doing the following to ensure factory settings.
1) *2767*3855# phone will reboot to original settings
2) *2767*2878# phone will reboot
3)Press *#06# to get imei, write that down
4)Insert diferent sim card from different company
5)Turn on, at sim error enter *2767*688 imei number followed by# (example)*2767*688352787123423456# (imei has 15 numbers also located on back of phone)
6) Phone will reboot to your new service provider, enter *0141# then hit call button
Phone should say personalized. turn off phone and insert different sim card. power back on. at sim unlock code screen enter 00000000 8 zero's hit enter
This should unlock the e715 with the updated firmware
Try at your own risk!!!! worked for me but who knows

I think you should have Samsung flash your phone first to bring it back to normal before you use the instructions.
As for the data cable, get the PCB093LBE which is a serial cable that has a switch in the middle of the cable.
