I was trying to do everything I did to my phone, to my friend's razr v3 and i uploaded all the seems and stuff that i have on mine...after i finished i went to check out his phone and see if it worked and everything was fine except for the fact that the menu style is in LIST mode...even if i change it to ICON style, it stays in list. How do i fix this?

You need to have the correct number of menu items - sounds like you removed one - use p2k menu editor to sort it

sorry i've never used menu editor before, is there a guide somewhere? and i don't think i removed one...at least not that i know of hehe

Seem edits could well have disabled one of the menu items. Download p2k menu editor - its pretty straightforward

ok, so AIM is deleted from my phone, but i don't understand how to get it back using P2KMenuEditor... i open P2KME, click Open Menu (From Phone) and i see all 9 menus, but when i save to phone, it doesn't do anything

Sounds like one of those 9 is disabled via seem edit.
Try: SEEM 0032_0001: offset 52 - bit 6: Office Tools > AIM (1 on, 0 off) (menu item, may require update to mma files)

i have ready so many posts i think im going to get sick. but no matter what i cannot seem to get p2k menu editor to get 9 items.
does anybody know how i can get the text messaging icon on the main menu?
please help.

Sounds like you have disabled it via seem edit - probably hitting set before get in p2k tools.
Use the same program to reenable it or restore a backup seem
