if it's a blue phone, you can't get it. cingular will unlock cingular-branded phones under certain circumstances. manufacturers will not give it.

what are those circumstances? i myself bought a re-furbished phone the moto v180, and i have never liked cingular. i wanted the v180 as a pre pay phone through t-mobile for emergencies. i also have a post pay account w/t-mobile and will never leave. now considering i paid for this phone shouldn't i have some rights to the software contained within for personal use only and if so then i should be allowed to change embodied s/w versions. this is only another reason as to y i will not switch to cingular.
