I have been through all of the cingular settings many times but cannot access the web. I get a "file type not recognised" message. I had the browser working for a while but now no dice. I just got the phone a week ago and cingular helped me set it up but only worked for a day. Phone works fine and I get text messages just no internet connect.

Get cingular to resend the settings to your phone.
Have you done any mods to the phone at all?

I have sent the settings from the cingular site but I still get file not recognised. I have not done any mods at all.

Extract both files and upload to a/mobile/ on your phone. Restart and your done

dude i had the v3i and the v3x and let me tell ya!! they both SUCK!!! cingular wont and will not give any software for the media net?? i got the browser worken but cant download crap!! they say they dont sell the phone and cant give any software?? i was told tech support level 3?? i tried it and all i got was the same uneducated bastards!! all the v3i and v3x is good for is looks!! but ya i tried all the same you have done!!if its a unlocked phone, FORGET IT!! its a pain in the but!! but i can text and thats it?? but im still with my v3x and does get better reception though!!! wow its good for something....lol...lol..

I love the V3i... But I have never been much of a sucker when it comes to downloading premium content from my service provider... Why pay for something you can get for free with s/w and a data cable lol.
