Lil Riddles---I did read your post...but HONESTLY...as a consumer...did you *really* thik that A-you deserved all that? B-a company (ANY company) would really do all that? I mean, really, if the reasoning behind it is soley about "unprofitable-ness" (which btw, it is NOT), then why would you end up thousands (if not, tens of thousands--depending on how much off network roaming you actually had) ahead? It just doesn't make sense! If I spoke with you, I would have to say something along the lines of "sorry for the misinfo...I'll hapily unlock your phones. PERIOD!)

cflchick
If it's not "unprofitable-ness" then why?

Of course "unprofitable-ness" (if you can even use the term--lol) plays a part in it...but also...the fact that many technical issues can arise that cannot be addressed. Many customers experience the following: phone doesn't ring but then beeps that they have a voicemail; phone never tells them they have voicemail til they happen to check it like a week later; cannot connect to the net; cannot send/recieve/both text messages; cannot dial specific ranges of numbers----all of these, plus others are tech issues that if the issue lies on the other carriers network, cannot be fixed---therefore...you are expected to pay a bill to cingular for service that they are not actually rendering and therefore cannot technically support. Further, if any of these carriers cancel roaming agreements, customers are not allowed ample time to make other cell phone arrangements....

lol hey guys t-mobile just stole cingulars fewest droped calls thing. so all the money they wasted on advertizing it is now helping t-mobile.
