Hi,
Can anyone tell me whether its possible to install MS Excel onto a Nokia 6600? I have the Software CD to install MS Office XP as well as 2000 onto the computer, but is it possible to do so on the Nokia 6600? I have heard this from one of my friends, but I dont know whether it is really possible. Not asking for any link to a software site, just whether this thing is possible and whether it requires any specific procedure / software for it.
It would be great if you could help me on this. Thanks a lot guys.

You can't install Excel.
But you can a similar software called "Quickoffice"
It contains Quickword (for Word), Quicksheet (for Excel) and Quickpoint (for Powerpoint).

No, it's not free.
Some newer phones do have a version included for free.

There is the "free" version for the 6630, maybe it works on the 6600 too.

Yeah, I have heard that the newer version of 6600 (Black panel) has free quickoffice, as well as other models like 6630. And the *.sis file available from quickoffice website is a trial version. But i tried installing the SIS file that you provided the link for (which is actually for 6630), and it works in 6600 too. It does look a bit different than the trial version of quickoffice on its website. But it has almost all the features, so sounds pretty good. Thanks for that Bjoern.

It isn't the newest version, but at least a legal full version
Unfornunatly it isn't possible to update it to a newer version for free, but it's ok.

Ooops!!! Clumsy me.
The Quickoffice for 6630 does not work for 6600. I could complete the installation and also open the *.xls files, but I cannot edit or enter into the cells and many other problems. So ultimately, it doesnt work for 6600.
