Hey guys, i'm new here.
I have a Nokia 6020. I recently bought a CA-42 connection cable for my phone. With the cable i recieved a Cd with Nokia PC Suite 6. I installed to software and the drivers were automatically installed aswell. I know that my cable is installed correctly because when i plug it into my computer i can see in my Device Manager, under the Ports tab, Nokia CA-42 USB. Now with that been said, here is where my problem kicks in.....
When i attach my phone to the CA-42 cable that is attached to my computer, the Pc Suite software is unable to read my connection. What i mean by that is this, when i open Nokia Pc Suite it states in the bottom left hand of the screne that there is 'no phones connected' (which is odd because i am connected). So, i go into the 'get connected' tab on the bottom right hand side of the screne, and it tells me to 'connect you phone to the cable and connect the cable to the phone', and it wont let me proceed until i do this, but like i said...i am connected, so why wont it let me proceed! I then noticed that when i go into the 'Phone Selector' menue and under 'select the phone you wish to use', the item menue is blank!...my phone does not appear.
Can someone please tell me why I cannot connect. Is there a problem with my cable, or me? Please help, cause i cant figure out what i'm doing wrong, ive tried everything! Thanks guys.

Hello,
Yes i've trial that.....several times.....with no luck.
I've even talked to a Nokia tech guy but he wasn't much help either. I'm leaning more on the side of something being wrong with my cable. I just wanna make sure thats what it is before i return it. I just have a feeling that i'm not doing something right...or that there's a setting disabled on my computer that is the issue.

Did you have activated the CA-42 in the connection manager of PC Suite?
Have you selected the correct COM port?

Yes i have....i do have the correct COM selected. I just dont understand why my phone isn't listen in the 'phone select' menue.
Everything seems to be fine, its just that my comuter (either software or hardware) wont read my phone as being connected, or even attached for that matter.

I've found the driver that able to connect your CA-42 to the computer. It doesn't require any hack... =D It is
PL-2303 Driver Installer.exe and i have it for you guys to download. After installed you need to restart your computer. You also need pc suit installed in your computer. After the restart use pc suit and connect your phone by cable. When your it recognizes. Go to My Computer and find your phone ^_^ Need help ? Email me krzvi3tboi@yahoo.com
