Boot:8.26
I upgraded to this version of firmware tonight after the symptons below started occurring on the origional firmware (OPTUS)
Today the phone started automatically bringing up the menu's, scanning through the phone book, adjusting the volume, etc without me pressing anything. I've been unable to take calls and needless to say make any outbound calls. The keypad is totally unresponsive most of the time
Can anyone shed some light on what maybe happening here before I take the phone to a service shop for repair????
Maybe a firmware upgrade???
Do Optus have there own funky firmware we can install?

It sounds like a problem with the keypad to me

Well its a keypad error to a point maybe, the only thing that makes you think it to be that is its unresponsive, but if the phones starting to scan its own stuff without a user to tell it to do so then you know theres something off in the firmware, just get ahold of a newer flash/flex pack and start new, if not a monsterpack, if that doesn't work, bring it to a shop and see if they can't resurect it.

I'm thinking either sticking buttons or "wet" keypad causing false key presses.

it's most likely to be 'sweat' from storing in a pocket... common with slim phones
