Hey everyone,
I'm getting a new phone with Cingular in about 2 weeks and am stuck on which phone to buy. My first intention was to get the w600i because it had more features and was a swivel. I also liked the color on the outside but the antenna looked large. I haven't seen this phone in person however. But then I started looking into the Rokr and liked that phone as well. It's very small and had some of the features on the w600i. I still didn't think highly of the phone until I saw it in real life. It looks to be very sleek. But as I read some of the reviews there were many negative comments. However I thought they were because people were expecting much more from the phone since it was the first with iTunes. I looked more into it and still liked it. But in the end I'm now confused because I want a phone that will last me about 2 years in terms of quality and features. The w600i looks to be the better buy but it seems to be very big. Yet the Rokr is supposed to be lacking on features and OS operability (slow causing freezes). I want an mp3 player phone because while I have an iPod, I don't like carrying that with my cell to school. I want something more convenient. And since iTunes' songs are protected I would first have to convert them before putting them on the w600i while the Rokr would be compatible. I also am a Mac user and am not sure of the compatiblity issues with the w600i. I'm sorry for the long paragraph but would appreciate any advice as to what phone to get.
Thanks a lot.

GO see the phones in person at a local Cingular Store.
I JUST got my W600 and F'n love it. IT is also SO easy to put songs on it. you dont even have to use the Software, just go through Windows Explorer!! takes 2 seconds.
Last week I put a few CDs on my Friends new SLVR with ITUNES....Pain in the F'n ass. Had to drag into a playlist and all this BS.
PLUS the Sony comes with Cable and Software to tranfer pictures and everything.
The ROKR looks aight, but my Ericsson turns heads with its Vibrant orange case!! Plus the ROKR isn't a Flip OR a Swivel....
Now im not bashing motorola, I just left my Moto V400 after a year and a half. But I LOVE my New Sony!!!
Hope that Helped man.

OH, and the W600 has like 3 speakers that sound great. Its nice and loud. And the volume and track number can easily be changed with the same two buttons!
And you could Use GIF's (moving pictures) as a WallPaper and ScreenSaver...my friend tripped out when he saw the GIF on my phone

Thanks a bunch. I was pretty much expecting something along the lines of that. But if someone else can add to that I would appreciate it. Thanks again.

I have done alot of reaschearch on both fones. Although the SLVR is small, the Sony boasts a quality speaker system. It also looks better.

Ya W600 VS the SLVR is a tough comparison.
But the W600 VS the ROKR...the W600 wins hands down. IMO.

Between the ROKR and the W600, get the W600...deeper sound quality on the walkman. Plus you can change faceplates. Had the ROKR for 2 weeks and didn't like it. The SLVR vs the W600, hmmm...that is an interesting comparison. IF you want to get a Moto, go for the SLVR.
