I live in the great state of California. I was listening to Twit podcast with leo lapport. They were saying that if you live in west coast and sign up and choose a area code on the EAST coast you will go by their time zone and therefore your unlimited night minutes will start three hours early? Well were getting a family plan, last time we went to a diffrent company (ATT) they asked what area code i wanted. So will the same concept work here? Our area is 760, can i get a New York area code, and the rest of the phones in our plan be a 760 area code?

if they were smart, tmobile would do it by your HLR location, not by whatever area code you registered with.

So it can be done, what about the other thing, me getting a New York code, and the rest of my fam staying in this code?

Edit: What do you mean if they were smart, this is good for us. Are you upset or something?

I believe you must have a billing address in the area/zip code you use to get a number.

And you follow rules for the time zone when u are in. Meaning at 6pm cali time whith a nyc number, you still using peak min because its 6pm where the phone is. The phone doesn't think its 9pm cause its area code is in nyc.

Guys .. the nights is starting at 9:00 pm no matter which time zone you at or what area code you got !!

you wont getting any 3 hours earlier or 3 hours late to start you nights for free >>> T-mobile goes by local time zone whenever you travel to other state !!!
