Im looking at getting a SLVR and MP# ringtones is a key feature Im looking for. I contacted Motorola and they said it can use MP3 ringtones from your computer or Cingular. It just cant use anything from iTunes.
And the phone number has to be on your phones memory to assign it a picture or tone.(as the poster above me said)

Nothing. Just use the USB cable and transfer the Mp3 to the microSD card. Then on your phone, under My Stuff, then Sounds. Select switch storage device. Select the card. Slect the song. Hit the menu button. Hit transfer/copy to phone. Change storage device back to phone. Select the song. Hit the menu button and slect apply as ringtone.
Make sure your edit the song down because the phone only has 5mb of memory on itself. And only plays 30seconds of song for ringtone anyways.

ive done it...lets see,you have to have an audio editing software so you can choose your own area of the song
you save the song n then go to my computer.look for the celly, click on it,lookfor a file that says ringtone or ring, and paste the file into there...form there unplug it after its done go to ringtones n click the menu button n swith device...it should be in the scandisk

I just got an L6 and want to hook up some ring tunes.
L6 is like the SLVR lite. No expandable mem, no iTunes, no laser etched keypad, and a shittier display; still good, but shittier.
Anyone used this phone with Moto Phone Tools or any other phone software program?
What's good? How are mp3 ringtunes?
And how the hell do you adjust the volume for media/games?! gawsh!

It was so simple, took about 20 seconds with my SLVR. (And thank you for posting that it was possible because I hadn't even tried and assumed you couldn't)
Plug your SLVR in, put any mp3 or mp4 into the "Ringtones" folder. Once on your phone, go to Tools: sounds. Then Move the ringtone you have chosen from the card to the phone, and it's all done.
Easy as cake.
Thank you everyone.
I have Rough Landing Holly on everytime someone calls me yay.
Gnight
