im looking to switch form nextel to cingular and was wondering fi there was a way to get free internet with cingular. Right now you can with nextel by useing net alerts. Is there anyhting like this for the cingular phones?? im looking to get the LG9200

wtf!? many people use the opera browser on their handsets to access the internet, and it's not free.

It is for me.My phone thinks its a game. I dont get charged for 1+ million bytes. I do, however, have the $24.99 mmode pkg.

that's because the 24.99 mmode plan is unlimited, if you didn't have that, you'd be getting charged up the wazoo.
there's no hacks to get free stuff. you'd ahve to make your own ringtones. are you from hofo? 'cause you mentioned you had a usb. that would be the way.

thewak posted something basically the exact same on hofo, but he said he had a usb. I meant he'd have to use that to get free ringtones.

yeah im on hofo. im on a bunch of message boards looking for this stuff. Ok so let me get this straight because im buying my phone in like 15 min. There is no way of getting free internet on cingular. And if i want to load my own ringtones i need a usb cord, thats fine but what program do you use to do it. I have read up on a few but none support the LG F9200 right now. Ive looked into DataPilot and Mobile Phone Tools 4 or something like that. I have the LG Sync from there website but from what i read you cant load ringtones to your phone using it. I could be wrong though.

No free internet, sorry. The internet costs .01/kb at the per-use feature. 19.99 gives you unlimited internet, however, and applies to the UMTS network if you buy a 3g handset.
