hey everyone, i'm new to these forums and i need some help. i just got a new phone, SLVR, and it's bluetooth compatible and it came w/ a usb data cable. i was wondering how i could get pictures from my phone to my computer using that cable. i've taken several pictures on the phone and when i connect it to my pc i see it as a removable storage device. so i click it and go into mobile and then into the pictures category, but once in there i dont see any of my pics from the phone. am i doing something wrong? do i need to download any software? also the user's manual doesnt really say anything about transferring images or video to a pc. so if anyone out there has any suggestions or has the slvr or razr and knows what to do please let me know.
thanks

Hi Tom,
I'm new too, but can answer your question:
First, you need to be sure your pictures are small enough that they don't take up too much room on the phone.
Then, you can load P2K tools or Moto Took Kit to load the files. Google search for these--they are easy to find.
You'll want to use the "file explore" feature from one of these warez, and upload the pictures from your PC to the phone; Find the picture on your PC, & upload to c/mobile/picture file (on the phone) and view away!
Hope this was clear enough for you to follow.

tom1126, if your taking pictures with your phone they are being stored ON THE PHONE. Transfer them to your memory card to move them via USB to your computer. In the future to make life simple change your storage (Picture Settings) to store to the transflash card, do this with your videos as well.
new2gc P2K software is not needed for this. I really wish people would stop promoting P2k software for the most simple phone operations. P2k software is great for mods, but it is not needed for everything.

You dont need to convert them, just download http://www.irfanview.com/ Irfanview is a freeware image / video player, best one I have ever found. It will play your phones videos (3gp format) all you have to do is download the required plugins (I suggest you download the plugin pack- you never know when you'll need them. Also Quicktime player (free) will play 3gp files as well. If you want to convert them ImToos 3gp converter (shareware) will convert them into AVI WMA and the like.

HI - i've had the same issue with my motorolla phone not showing images when i browse it using p2k commander from my pc. I dont have a memory card in mine so can only use the phone memory (which is big enough for me btw). Thing is, why can i see my audio just fine on the phone and can transfer that both ways including songs that were on the phone when i got it, but there are no images or videos in any of the phone folders when i browse them, except for a couple of tiny gifs that are used in the navigation etc?
I'd like to be able to get at videos and images on the phone memory without buying a memory card just so i can get them off.
ANy ideas?

Make sure you're reading the right directory in the phone with P2KCommander. Newer phones have a and c directories; pictures will be in c/mobile/picture in those phones.
