Hi,
Just got this new L6 & configured it for Cingular. Can receive & send regular text/vm/etc. no problem.
Cannot send MMS pictures that I take on the phone. I get an error saying "sending of this file format is prohibited in restricted mode".
What does "restricted mode" mean, and how do I change it (seem edit?)?
No problems with this on my Cingular L7, so I know that my service is set up correctly.
BTW, I have already checked to be sure configs for Cingular are correct, and CSR could not help me, so I'm thinking it's a flex issue, therefore req. seem edit. (?) Pls advise.

well, the only thing i could think of is that it's in airplane mode...but i'm sure you would have noticed taht. are you able to access medianet ok? did you configure the MMS settings?

tried just now, and it says, "sorry, MediaNet is experiencing difficulties". ?? I WAS able to browse earlier, although I don't do a lot of that...

I can send MMS (using templates in the phone), but I cannot send pics. When I try (click on pic, menu, send in msg) it says, "cannot send this file format in restricted mode". I don't know what restrited mode is... And Cingular has confirmed that I don't have any restrictions on my account, so it must be something in the phone.

I got it, it was under MMS Settings, Compose Settings.
And Cingular has confirmed that I don't have any restrictions on my account, so it must be something in the phone.
