I have read all of the reviews and specs on the Motorola RAZR V3x, V3i, and V3m's and was wondering what everyone thought was the best phone? The user "hurleyguyinoc" seems to know a lot about these phones and has made many reports on them, but depending on which report you read, he seems to switch his mind a lot. Who thinks which phone is the best and why! Not only this, do you all prefer CDMA or GSM, and why!...and does unlocking phones have anything to do with it?
If you think each is better at different things, what things do you think each phone excels at and why!
Lots of good posts/replies should settle all our RAZR debates!!

I have the V3i. The only serious issue is the current incompatability with Media Net for the cingular service. And some txt messaging isn't getting through either inbound or outbound. It gets squigly symbols and sends messages to others that result in the same non message. Otherwise, the features are working fine. Mobile Phone Tools recognizes it (though Data Pilot doesn't), Bluetooth works well, camera is fine and it's held up through a couple of drops. My understanding is that when Cingular releases it, I'll be able to flash in the Cinglar software and clear up these issues. One thing I wish it had was EDGE capability (of course G3 would be nice too). On Cingular you can only get the G3 on the LG CU320 or a Samsung model that doesn't have Bluetooth. The Mot V3x won't cut it because it doesn't work on the GSM 850 band, nor does it have UMTS (sp?). It will only work conventionally on Cingular and I'm not sure about MEdia Net compatability. I almost got the V3x until I found out no 3G. - A side note on 3G for cingular. Neither phone (Samsung or LG) has backup software for it. Even though the LG manual says it does. I contacted LG and they basically said "too bad" and we don't have any plans for it.

One thing I fogot to ask - does anyone know of a service that hacks the Mot V3i or other MOT V's? I'm not up to speed on the flash & flexing universe but I do know that issues come up all the time and no one should just try it for fun unless they are willing to toss their phone should it glitch.
Thanks

If you follow all the guides word for word then you shouldn't have a problem. If you aren't sure then ask here - most glitches are due to people not preparing correctly or skipping vital steps they deem unimportant

i am thinking about buying a razr v3i and i had some questions about how well it works with cingular right now since it hasn't yet been released. you had said that it dropped some text messages coming in and out, did that happen a lot or was it just an occasional thing

V3x : http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details/0,,95,00.html | yes i did switch a lot of mind on thiese damn things but i did seem to like the v3i the best out of them all the v3x was cool but way to bulky but i looked more closely at the v3i and seems to have the same features as the v3x and the v3i has the nice original thin size as the old v3 razr from 2004 and as for the guy if you have cingular??and the medea net pops up if i go to the web browser to down load or anything the v3x would not??so i think the v3i is the way to go much better color phone too...lol and the blue M lights cool too:)
