The storage assigned to pictures and to videos is different. While it is "global memory" videos take up A LOT of space so the size and storage limit is built in to the phone (via seem). Thats one of the "problems" with the razr

This usually happens if you have got a seem edit wrong - use a flex with it already enabled

I found this website for the exact same problem. I have a V360 and still have plenty of space... sometimes I can record 1 minute worth of footage and other times about 30 seconds, store the video then start again So I'm guessing it just stores in some sort of RAM that maxes out at about 30 seconds (pardon my newbness... I don't usually fiddle with technology). So what's a flex? or does anyone know how to fix this?
Much appreciated everyone =) Many thanks!

You can mod your phone, I have a v360 as well and I set the video record to unlimited, basically it stops when my flash card runs out of space (and with a 1gig card that will take awhile). The phone only "sees" 512mb because that it the firmware limit, but it can and will use 1gig.. I have now 4 full length movies stored on my phone as well as a few hundred MP3's, not to mention a ton of clips. Other Mods include removing all branding (provider icons and wallpapers etc), installed 20 odd skins, enabled previously "locked" apps (firmware upgrade) and much more. Anyway modding your phone is risky if you never done it before, you can "kill it". Plus it voids all warranties. If you are dead set to do it then head on over to motomodders or motox and learn from the experts. They have user guides and all the tools for free.
Remember, you have been warned, Modding your phone will void its warranty, and it can render your phone useless.

thanks mate, any specific directions though? I signed up to MotoModders but can't find any articles! So are there any old threads you know of?

Just do a search for Video Mods (v360 mods), most Vxxx mods will work but you have to be careful because not all Vxxx mods are compatable, most of the time the guide will tell you if it has been tested or not. The number one advice I can give you is back your phone up BEFORE you change anything, even the most basic Mod can be a phone killer.
All the software you will need is found in the Downloads/software/p2ksoftware area (found at the top of the page).

Ok, I've backed up my phone, downloaded 004e_0001.seem and edited 412 to 28, saved, uploaded it using P2K Manager, rebooted the phone but it still does not work :S Anything else I must change? On the Video Settings on the phone the Video Length is set to Maximum. Any idea where I might of screwed up? Like is that what you did exactly? If not I must of done something silly... I'll keep trying!
Update: managed to mod another file so it shows my name on the outer screen when open so there must be something wrong with the video file I'm editing. Can you remember what you did?

There is a step by step guide in the tutorials section (bottom of the page) to adding video recording. Try following that.
