I bought an unlocked U880 off ebay from Hong Kong and it appears to be unlocked but I can't seem to get the internet working. I have a T-Mobile SIM (US) and I can't get the WAP/GPRS setup. Can anyone lend a hand on setup any information would be great.... even maybe general T-Mobile/LG setup?

Sorry it's an LG phone. The setup isn't like the other phones. I can't get the settings in the normal tutorials to work.
I haven't called T-Mobile I'm afraid they'll just say they don't support the phone since it's unlocked.

The simple fix is to go to T-Mobile's web site config tool http://tmobileus.wdsglobal.com/phonefirst it will send you a text message with the required settings, it will install automatically. T-Mobile will not care if your phone is unlocked, business is business.. you are a customer. Many users purchase phones elsewhere and then have them configured for their (T-Mobile) network.

But they only have 1 model that's not mine. If I select the one available and try it anyway I never get the setup message. Thanks for the thought though.

call tech care anyway. there may be an article on configuring wap over gprs for that particular phone. the more exotic the phone, the less the chance, but its worth a try.

Oh, then try this. on T-mobile type in *133# and push the call button, you should get a reply stating that information is being sent to your phone with the GPRS settings.
Or use these settings:
Address - internet2.voicestream.com
DNS - 216.155.175.105
DNS - 216.155.175.106
Proxy
Address - 216.155.175.188
Port - 8080

The send didn't work and I can't figure out where to put in the DNS numbers. Thanks for trying. If you have any other setup to try let me know.
Thanks
