As far as I know, and Ive been a Cingular customer for 2 years, there is no extra charge for a three way call. Just the minutes you use during the call(s). So your right, if you use the feature durring nights and weekends its free. Although I believe it will still show up on your bill that the feature was used.

for cingular customers... 3 way calling charges to the appropriate bucket of minutes

ie: you initate a 3 way with 2 other land line numbers at noon on a tuesday and are in that 3 way call for 15 minutes...the minutes for each call charge to your daytime minutes...if one or more are cingular customers on their cel phone that call charges to your mobile to mobile..if you call during the N&W time it charges to your night and weekend bucket

yeah, said elmo. it will show up as 2 different calls at 15 minutes (daytime call) basically you are connecting to 2 different calls at once.

yes... I think you have the gist of the concept....

and if you happen to have a former ATT service you can get 6 way calling for 2.99 a month...same rules apply... the 6 way is not available for post merger customers
