hey, i just receieved my V3i Razr, its completely brand new and its unlocked. when i turned it on with my t-mobile sim card i saw the roaming triangles were displayed on the top, i turned off and on my phone and they were still there.
how can i take these off, and is this charging me roaming?

Other than sprint I didn't know that many other companies actually still charge roaming, and thats most likely just because its a foreign SIM which is drawing a different band. What you can do is hex edit the phone to turn off the triangles, if you talk to the service provider they can tell you if your being charged roaming.

btw its SEEM 0032_0001 offset 34 - bit 3: Display Roam Triangle Icon (1 on, 0 off)

the roaming triangle means nothing billing wise... its your rate plan that determines that... Tmob rate plans are all national... there should be a seem edit that Mikay will post to cover this (he usually does)... but dont worry about roaming charges... the phone is looking for the carriers tower that it was made for

how can i take these off, and is this charging me roaming? | no you cant get rid of the triangle i have cingular and its the same way and my roomate has t-mobile and he also has the v3i and no, you wont be charged roaming thats a good thing!! how does your v3i work?? ours work excellent!! been through a lot of cell phones since 1997 and let me tell you, you chose the best out there the v3i

the triangle don't bother me, cause i know im not roaming!! the phone is eropean and does that on u.s.a net works..its unlocked most unlocked phones will have a triangle!!
