This works on the V3 - not sure about other models - but give it a try

I take no credit for this - its someone elses discovery - but I am not sure who the someone else is. If you know drop me a line.

1) Go to message centre>new message>new multimedia message
2) Press the menu key then choose insert
3) Choose voice record
4) Press and hold the voice key while recording what ever you want (can only be approx 20 seconds long)
5) When you have finished recording a blank screen will pop up like your about to send a text message, press 'ok' don't write anything
6) Send it to yourself, someone else or a random number
7) Go to your outbox and open the message you just sent, the voice record will play, press the menu button and choose store
8 ) Choose file, press store, store only, give it a file name and you are done

I tried this and after wasting the 25 cents on a text message icon_razz.gif I saved the file but I cannot use it as a ringtone because it is saved as a "QCP" file, any ideas?

By the way I'm using a Motorola V710 with Alltel.

Hi there,
I have the same v3 razr phone with the same carrier as you. However, I can't figure out how to record my voice and save it as a ringtone. Can you please help me by posting instructions here? Thanks very much.
I hope you enjoy your phone as much as I do icon_smile.gif
