Maybe some of the CSRs can shed some light on the whole Paypal mobile deal for me. I just received an email back from Paypal. They said that Cingular was not provisioning the short codes necessary for the texting service they are now offering. For those of you who are not aware, they have started a mobile service you can use to pay for products as well as send money to another member who has activated the mobile portion of their acct. I think this would be a valuable asset to Cingular considering the 100 plus million users paypal currently has, and the amount of texting that will be used in this service. Not to mention follow up voice calls by an automated paypal service. Anyone else who thinks this would be a good service, let Cingular know. All the other carriers have jumped on board already. Pretty soon you will be able to buy products off the radio, billboards, TV and the internet with the service. Anyone else think it would be crazy for Cingular not to get on this train?

I had been in a training class a while back where a bill to air system had been mentioned... this apparantly is widespread in Japan... the short blurb that was mentioned is coming but not yet ....until the rollout of UMTS is completed... I guess the suits dont want too much on their plates with regards to "system issues" or bugs...makes sense from a company standpoint

Yeah I guess it kinda makes sense. However I hate to see that Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint all have the service activated already. They have a lot on their plates as well. And since Cingular is supporting Ebay mobile then it just kinda makes sense to support paypal as well. Any way you could maybe stress this point to upper management?

cing isnt big into bill to air , because its not hard for someone to order somthing from/via pay pal then call cs and deney the charge, that could equal millions in lost revinue
