Ok, my dad just put his Motorola V3 through the washing machine
I've take it apart and laid all the parts out to dry. What are the chances of it working again?

Are you going to be able to put such a small phone back together?

you need to be patient, drying it out in the sun if you could, but it will take a couple weeks of letting it seat and dry out. The success rate is depended on how fast did you took the battery out when fone got wet .

Also use rubbing alcohol to clean down all the contacts

I took the battery out as soon as it came out of the machine, unfortunately it did go through a full cycle.
A week? It's really going to take that long?

Well if you turn it on and its still even slightly damp you could short something out and blow it.

Ok cheers guys, I'm going to leave it to dry for a few days, it feels dry to the touch, but I'm not going to risk it, and it looks like I'm going to need a new LCD screen, it looks damaged. I'll keep you updated.

Ok, we checked the battery in another phone, it's dead, so we put it back in the phone that went through the washing machine and put it on charge. Well it lit up, unfortunately the LCD doesn't come on. So that's bust.

Ok, charged battery a little. Now when it's put into the phone the keypad lights come on, and stay on, can't turn the phone off, and the computer won't recognize it when it's plugged in. Any ideas please?

prolly needs to dry more, they said a week... you waited 1 day. This happened to my phone about 3 years ago (not a RazR). I was jumping over a puddle and the phone fell in, I didn't notice at first and kept walking. A few blocks later I wanted to make a call and realized it was missing, the phone lit up in 8 hours, but it didn't fully function for like 4 days.
