I looked at my mates e720 which doesnt have this bar, is its much better without it in my opinion. is there anyway I can get this bar away? Thanks |
You need to download the E720 version of Optiflash.
Is there any way of flashing using bluetooth? I got this E720 when my sister got a new one and she lost the USB cable.

Hi all,
I had D900DXFG5 on my D900 and my SIM card worked fine, I upgraded to D900JPFG6 and my SIM card does not work any more, the phone can not get registered in the wetwork, I tried with D900XAFG6, D900XEFG4 and D900XEFH3 and the same.. it does not work.
I could not do a backup so I downloaded D900DXFG5 and flashed my phone again but the SIM card does not work. It makes me think the issue is a configuration related one.
Only with D908ZCFH2 the SIM works fine but the supported languages are not understood by me.
Can any one tell me what I'm missing, what do I have to configure? what is the difference bethween D908ZCFH2 and the other ones? My provider's network Id is 74001 in Ecuador, South America.
Please help.

Hi don,
I'm french, so, please excuse my english...
I bought a Samsung SGH-z400 this week, great phone.
The point is : I'm usign " Orange " network, wich Phones' menus are ... nauseating.
(Take a look)
I'd like to know if, there's a " Operator-Free " firmware available for my phone...
" Samsung " firmware would be heaven.
No need to contain french language, english would be perfect.
My phone's language setting is always set on " English ", I love it, lol.
I don't know how to flash it yet, but i'll be lookin over forums on this website to find out..
Oh, by the way, my firware version is : Z400BVFF7
Is it even possible to flash it up ? lol
Hopin to read you,
Best regards !

I always set the phone as Quad Band, in fact I got full signal with all versions of Firmware versions, the only diference is that only with D908ZCFH2 the phone can get registered in the provider's network.
I've tried setting the especific band for my provider too.. but the behavior is the same, full signal but the phone can not register in the network.
Any other advice? please help.

I'm not really good at flashing phones but ...
Did your flash change your IMEI ?
I heard flashing your phone could change it, and prevent your phone of calling, sending messages etc...
I guess that's an Mobile-Operator protection against stealing 'n stuff .
Maybe it works like -> Your IMEI cannot be recognized by your Network Operator, so you can't call etc...
I also heard that, you can " back-up " your original IMEI, and of course, get your full Network access back.
I can't remember where I heard it, but if you want me to look for it, let me know
Don't know if I'm right at all, only trying to help you ..
( Excuse my english )

Thanks Aloarerial and DON, I Think you both are rigth. I did some testing and I found this:
With all the flash versions the IMEI becomes 000000 00 000000 /0 but I have a correct BT MAC Address.
Only with D908ZCFH2 I have a correct IMEI Id number but not my own IMEI Id. Now my question is.
Is there any way to fix/burn my original IMEI Number in the other Firmwares? I could not do any backup, I only can download the flashes but when I try to do a backup I got an error, the downloader simply stops working.
Is there any way to retreive my original BT MAC Address or any way to get it knowing the original IMEI Id?
Thanks a lot for your help guys.
