does anyone know if the Motorola L7 can be unlocked easily yourself at home? If not, does anyone know if this phone can be unlocked at all?

Very hard to do at home.
Yes it's unlockable with the help of smart clip. I done many of them already.

so, how do i start attempting to do this at home? I have not heard of 'smart clip'. can you explain this?

well still you have to pay $30 for a online unlocker.
But first you have to open up your fone and do the test point (short out a resistor) then connect your fone to PC by USB cable run thier software and unlock your fone.
Smart clip is a unlocking device for motorola

know any good sites (i.e. cheap : ) to get this done? I am in Europe and not America, so I hope that does not affect this...

I don't have any one that i recomending to you, also you want to get to know more about test point before you go buy aunlock credit.

Hey guys. I found some software that can unlock the L7, as well as other Motorola models. Someone is selling it online, and I was thinking of buying it - so if someone wants to go half-half on it, I will buy it and send it to you. They say you can use the software over and over again.
It is $20, so if someone wants to go in for $10 with me?

There is free software out there that can unlock your fone any other but it will require test point.
So many ebayer get these free software and make a profit

I have seen other free unlocking software out there, but could never find any one to do an L7?
