I am very upset with Cingular and the unwillingness of the company to work with me with my problems. My service for the last few months has been worse in the same areas as before. I get dropped calls more often and they will NOT give me another phone. So my question is, what if I just cancel my phone and never pay them another dollar again. Will that hurt my credit history?

They sell your info to an outside collection agency. Will show up on credit report if not paid..

in addition, you'll probally have a hard time getting cell service in the future with an unpaid etf on your record.

people don't understand the free phone concept. you gotta get your own phone. I mean, they're pieces of electronics...not cheap. we aren't just gonna give you one for free whenver something goes wrong.

i believe, it's usually 88 days after cancellation that it gets sent to a conllection agency.

Fewest dropped calls my ass...that independent study group needs to come to the Pittsburgh area and see all the dropped calls. CDMA all the way!

I try my best to explain that they can't get another phone if it gets lost of stolen for free people just don't get it. and then people are like why get insurance for monthly fee if i have to pay $50 deductable to get their phone replaced when they got a free phone to start off with.. that free phone might be 219. bucks. example i looked that up for someone his free phone was 219.99 full retail. So there is people out there paying the etf instead of having to buy a new phone and cancelling service. etc. GET INSURANCE FOR YOUR PHONE PLEASE!!
