Hi. I have a motorola bluetooth headset for my 9800. The problem is people are complaining that they are getting a an echo though i don't hear it myself.
I have tried a different Moto headset, but to no avail. Not to mention there is a significant delay when answering a call.
I am wondering if anybody can recommend a headset that works virtually flawlessly. I have seen the LG headset and it looks pretty large. I may try that out, but would like something that is easy on the eyes and a reasonable size.
Thank you.

I'm having the same problem. Verizon replaced my bluetooth and the person who is calling me still hears the echo. I'm going over at lunch to see what else can be done? I'm not paying $100 for something as anoying as that! I'll let you know what they say.
When I use a wired headset everything works fine...

I called LG, "We're aware of the problem but there's nothing we can do about it at this time. Not all of the phones are experiencing the problem. Try swapping phones..."
Did it... Got a new one from the Verizon store...
and Guess WHAT... what... IT.. it... STILL... still... ECHOS... echos...
Not sure what I'll do next...

I called LG. They say that the reason for the echo is that the version for the 9800 is 1.1 while most are 1.2.
I don't understand why one of their best phones would have an older bluetooth version.

You should be able to find it on the manufacturer's website or the phone's manual.
