I have the Sony Ericson S710a: my pic/vid msgs wont send correctly, my service is inconsistant in the same locations on different days, I have more dropped call than anyone I know, the Cingular customer support team seems uneducated about their products and service (they refuse to send me a new phone). Terrible company to deal with, back to verizon it is. CDMA in my area is much more consistant and I wish I never switched because of a cool phone.

I have an AT&T sim card and want to buy an unlocked v3i off e-bay. I've been reading about bandwidth issues (something about 850/1900 Mhz frequencies) Why is there a service issue when the phone is quad band?

just leave the device in auto scan... there will be no issue... those posts were more directed to triband devices and other issues

Please give me some sound advice and don't give me a sales pitch. I have already decided to go with Cingular,I just need some help with the phones. I want a phone that's just that,a phone. Something durable,reliable,and gets great reception. Don't need all the bells and whistles...need something for communication only. What is your best phone in that area? Thanks

well apparently you left vzw for a reason you cant blame cingular for teh fact you bought a crappy phone, and now its out of warenty your mad that we wont "give" you a brand new phone for free uh yea i dont think so your a company jumper you change companies every two years to a free phone

aint it the way how it goes most of the time? people want something that is free. yet when something minute goes wrong for them, they start clamoring.
"my free phone sucks, i want a refund...or something of equal value..." .
