Hey Cingular guys,
Its me again...nobody seems to answer my query. The phone is released thru suncom, but alas its not covered in my area. Its for 249 for a 2 yr contract. its been out there for almost a month now with suncom. This phone is also out for 2 months now thru Rogers Wireless in Canada for more than 2 months now for 299 canadian $s. Its been out in UK too.
I wonder when a smalltime regional carier can comeup with a deal with SE, then y cant the nation's top carrier get it in time, already this phone is getting outdated with K790a and w950 in pipeline. Can someone wakeup Cingular pls...

wireless carriers pay big money to be the first to release a phone...when they pay the bux...the manufacturer agrees to not sell that phone to any other carrier for a specified period of time...

Friends,
they dont have w810 coming in this month...wat a let down icon_sad.gif
They are getting the v3i on this 17th.
(what an outdated crap! NO flash and only 2.5mm jack with just 512 MB max, that too not included nor the headset)
thats what I kno for now, if anybody knos the date for w810, pls do let kno...need it badly guys.
As for elmo01, the suncom has almost evry phone cingular has and also rogers has many more phones than cingular, so i dont think, its that case, but anyways fingers-crossed... LoL

As from what I understand they released sony z525a earlier, then LG CU500 last month 13th, then they r realeasing moto v3i on this 17th, so w810 must be for next month 21st(1 month + 4days). icon_razz.gif
I think they have this al thought out, but 1 thing i advice for u guys is: There is a policy with cingular that if u dont like the instrument, u can give it back within a month, so i guess if we should get a phone after 21st, then if w810 gets released by sept 21st, then we can change the handset...what do u say icon_question.gif

so I'm planning to just get the LG CU500 for $79 on 22nd but again thats a risk...donno if its worth a try icon_redface.gif
wat else r v gonna do man, they leave us with no other choice icon_mad.gif

The world would have been a better place if cingular/T-mobile had launched a k790a in time with Europe, Asia, Australia and all other third world countries, they have better choices... icon_twisted.gif

1 things for sure: if cingular get w810 then T-mobile is gonna get k790a.

any other suggestions...most welcome

Even SE is sick of US market, they r no even concerned to launch the k790a, first they dint launch the k750/w800 not even the twisted w550, then after ages they came up with w600 and now with w810. but our carriers r not bothered to get that too...maybe they keep asking for a discounted price, which SE doesn't give until the phone actually gets an upgraded version to hit the open market.

ex: they got ready with w810, when they gave Cingular w600, and now w810 after they they get k790a for the unlocked local market, otherwise noone would buy unclocked pieces anymore.
Similar case with RAZR, that coms free now after v3i,v3m,v3c get out in the unlocked open market.

guys, i think thats wen the carriers start getting discounts.
right now SE has only 2 phones in their site to sell in US: w810 n w300...only 2 for the whole of US icon_question.gif

anyways, thats only the way I c it, so no offence meant...LOL

hey elmo01...

"wireless carriers pay big money to be the first to release a phone...when they pay the bux...the manufacturer agrees to not sell that phone to any other carrier for a specified period of time..."

no offence but u meant...suncom paid more money than cingular...in which world is it possible dude?

Would cingular accept that SE give away suncom the w810 first and then a quarter later, give it to them.
WOW...coool, thats a good way of marketing a nation's #1 brand image.

anyways, dont mean to be rude, so I wont say anything more on that, but only that if U or any of the cingular reps could atleast now give us a heads-up on some info on the release date and clear our assumptions...wud appreciate icon_sad.gif

thanx a lot elmo1, appreciate ur reply buddy... icon_smile.gif
thats some news....in that i guess i shall have to go for the SLVR on the 25th or so(hopefully they'll drop the SLVR prices once v3i comes in), and wait for the w810 to come in on 21st. (as per ur saying) icon_frown.gif
I just hope it comes in time or else my gamble might flunk...
