Whats funny is the original person that started the thread hasnt even answered any questions. That seems about right with Cingular.

I can't get a definite answer. Have Samsung x497 phone and Cingular plan. Live in a "low service" area - but there is an ALLTELL tower nearby - if there is an agreement with Alltell why doesn't my phone use that tower? AND - why is the option on my phone to manually switch networks grayed out so I can't try and see if I can use the Alltell tower? If Cingular has an agreement with them and a subscriber lives in a bad area they should let us use the Alltel tower if they have a roaming agrement with them. Why can't I?? I may add that they have let me out of my contract and I would love to stay with them but unless I can get good reception from my home I will be switching in a couple of weeks.

I have been trying to call my Reverand for the past 13 days, and I always get the same result, the call is either dropped, or I get a message that says "All circuits are busy". I thought at first it was just a busy holiday weekend, being Memorial weekend, but this has continued for the past 13 days. What can I do to reach him. Thanks

I currently have an ATT family plan through a corporate sponsor account that I started prior to Cingular's acquisition of ATT. I am starting to have some equipment problems with the phones purchased over 2 years ago and would like to purchase replacement phones. My ATT plan would have allowed me to replace equipment at this point at a significant discount. I tried the web site and it told be to work with a local Cingular store but the store just referred me back to the web. I have tried Customer Service but they want me to convert my plan. Current Cingular plan offers do not come close to what I currently have. What are my equipment options where I can retain my current plan?
