I need to upgrade the software on my (Cingular) Razor from v 41.C3R-B to 42.0E or 42.09 or 40.57R to enable the blue tooth function to talk to my Benz. I went to the Cingular store here in Riverside, CA; they looked at me as if I was from Mars. Any suggestions? |
uhm, no wonder they looked at you that way.... they only know *sales*... you would have to find one of those techie dudes (or dudettes) that know about those...(frequencies I believe?)

he's not talking about frequencies... software versions in his phone

OIC
It was a good guess.... I was rather tired when I was up reading the forums and looking for info...
Thank you for the clarification. Now that I am awake it makes more sense. My forte is not phones, although they are pretty much just smaller computers.

if you find another phone that will accept your sim (another ATT GSM phone or an unlocked one) you keep your plan and stay ATT
if you get an unlocked device please ensure that it is capable of BOTH 850 and 1900 mhz

Hmmm, another question.... Didn't att and cingular use different types of phones? att had gprs (i think thats the letters) and cingular had (??gsm??)
My friend had an older Nokia and used att, it was around the time Cingular introduced the national plans. I had a Sony Erricson 220 series and a Motorola v400 and they were something like GSM phones. Anyway, she wanted to get the same plan I had but couldnt because of the Nokia being on something like GPRS. I might be off on the correct letters for the network type.
If you think you know what I am asking I would appreciate an answer. Thanks.

I bought to l6 slvr from ebay, both brand new and unlocked, used cingulars website to enter all the media settings. My husbands phone works great but mine says no service and has no gprs. We are both under the same plan. What can I do?
