the CU500 is a UMTS phone... its only being sold in the makets that have UMTS coverage ... that coverage is expanding each month as regional network upgrades complete
as for the zx-10... when you order a phone the tock is taken from a regional warehouse defined by your zipcode...
a hint... do your order online at cingualr.com... the device will be cheaper

i've seen in stock in some zip codes, not in stock in others, as far as i'm aware it has not been discontinued. it will reappear soon. it's probably just out of stock for your area.

the zx-10 is about to be replaced with the zx-20, which is the same phone except with bluetooth. might as well just wait.

QUESTION: I have the Sony-Ericsson S710a which is discontinued from Cingular. any way i have the insurace for the phone but im not sure i want to pay it if i wont get that specific or the newer model phone IF i had to make a claim does anyone know if what phone they would issue me?

lock line insurance maintains their own stock of phones... afaik you get the same one or an equivalent...
people that had V551's doing a replacement claim were getting RAZRS...

I have some question about renewing. I have a family plan with 3 lines that expired today and I wonder where I can renew it. I want to get one year term if possible...if not 2 years term. I also want 4 cell phones with that plan and wondering where can I do that online? I tried some online retailer like wirefly and foncentral but they only have 2 phones free with the plan. I need is 4 phone with the plan.
Also is there an upgrade fee I have to pay for each new cell phone?

through a 3rd party retailer, you may have to pay upgrade fees/may not beable to keep existing number, along with other issues. cingular won't process a familytalk order online, but tehy will have free phones/discounts on higher end phones if you give us call. over the phone we can offer 1 or 2 year options.

What happen was that a small number of simcards (100,000  )
were found that after roaming internationally they had no way of storing all of the info and just keep on filling the memory of tne sim until it burned out. the new sims will just rewrite the same data over each other. i am surprise because here in the southeast the Sim came with the letter .any way any doubt just look in CSP

Hey McLean,
Ur the first person who has openly come out to help everyone of us here.
Pls give us a heads-up on the release of SE W810 on Cinglar as we all re desperately awaitig its arrival since ages. U r the only source of info abt the launch date. Pls provide us any heads-up so that we can plan accordingly.
I didn't even go for the w600 in wait of w810, and now I am left with nothing since Cingular has even stopped the W600 as well, actually it was free at wirefly, but expecting the w810, I didn't go for it as it would be a big problem for an upgrade within the contract period.
I planned to go for LG CU500 but my friend has it and the camera is not good and there's no flash on it as well, more over its just 1.23 MP.
Please give all of us awaiting the w810 the right information.
