Hello,
I am wondering if anyone could shed some light on Cingular's Upgrade Policy for me. I am currently a bit over a year into a two year contract with Cingular and am wondering about their policy. I was on the phone for about 4 hours today with customer service and I got nowhere. Some reps. told me that I was eligible for and early upgrade, while others told me there was no such thing. I am not yet eligible for my 18 month upgrade and I am wondering what the deal is.

Hi,
Sorry about the occurence of double posting, I did read through that thread before but was unsatisfied with the answers about the early exception upgrade policy, which was what my question was about.

Basically they calculate weather or not you are making the company enough money to sell you another phone at a loss. And in case of early upgrades they would have to go by individual case. by case basis.

Dont forget to add, when they send you a refurbished phone that breaks a couple of weeks after you get it. You dont get another upgrade even after they have sent you an inferior product. You are definitely elgible for the upgrade, dont let any of these boneheads on here tell you different. If you cant get answers call 404-236-6000 the Cingular HQ and be polite to the secretary. She is getting swamped with calls because techs and customer service people would rather heckle and talk down to you like your an idiot. This is unprofessional and you should let them people at the top know that this treatment is not acceptable. There is only one word they understand...MONEY...take it away from them and then they have to listen.
