Never mind, I got everything working just fine.

ok, simply right click on the file and choose "rename"... name it whatever.MID and then email it to your phone.

My secret method for putting MP3 ringtones on my T509 cell phone:
1. Download WavePad
This is a completely free program you can use to edit any sound file.
http://www.download.com/WavePad/3000-2170_4-10526522.html
You'll want to install the program that converts MP3 files to wav files, it'll ask you if you want to when you install it.
2. Open an MP3 in WavePad
3. Edit it as you choose (cutting, fading, etc, it's a simple process)
4. Save as MPEG 4 Audio (*.m4a) - Be sure you delete the mp3 extention on the filename or it will save it as an mp3.
5. Rename the file to a .3gp file.
To do this you simply change the mp3 extension to a 3gp extension. If you cannot see the file extensions, you need to turn them on under Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Uncheck hide extensions
6. Bluetooth the file to your phone.
Use your phone to connect to your computer and download the file. I always use the phone to connect to the computer, but I think you can do it the other way around as well.
That's the way I do it, and it works every time. The quality seems just as good as an MP3 file, on the phone there's no way you'll notice a difference. The file size is even smaller, which is nice. Hope this helps.

As far as I've found, no, because Samsung hates customization.

RE: emailing ringtone to T509
Ok, I've tried emailing .mid and .mmf. I get the email, but there's no attachement to save. Any thoughts?
