yes as a matter of fact I had the t309. The reception here at my house is normally poor for just about any service except sprint and ma' bell (I live 3 to 5 minutes outside the Dallas/ Fort Worth area). I have been told many different things cause this, mainly being to far from a tower. However, I believe its just the opposite, I think im to close to a tower. Like right now for instance, I got 3 bars.. and have had that all day here. Normally im lucky to have a signal at all here. Of course I only need to get to end of driveway and it'll be fine. (im sure that having flourescent lights, my server, two computers, router, modem, tv, radio, stereo and all my music equiptment in here has absolutly nothing to do with it...lol)

Anyhow, the t309 I am extremmly dissapointed in. It likes to freeze up and no doubt right in the middle of a 4 page text or the like. But the main reason for the switch was because of where the charger addapter fit into the phone. It had apparently become worn out and I couldnt charge my phone.

(incedentally, I read some were this morning that tmobile was ranked #1 in customer service. I personally have NOT..EVER.. had a good experience with them. Plus I have been a customer with t-mobile since 00'.)

lol, nahh i dont think it has anything to do wit thet either. speaking about the charging does the t509 only have one jack for charging and the ear piece? It comes with the ear piece right? Did you get this phone as an upgrade or did you buy the phone at regular price?

Yes theres only one plug for charging, of course, unlike any other model. And I had to pay 100 bux for it... which really ticked me off. Because I know people who get free phones out the yang (high dollar phones) just because they complain all the time. I have had 2 "upgrades" to my phones in 6 years. Each one of which the quality of phone has decreased. The last one being the t309 (and I paid 139 bux for it). Here I am ... a customer since t-mobiles inception..never late on my payment...never ask for anything.. and when my phone breaks.. i get a MAJOR run around. First they tell me I can drop off my phone for repair, then go to corporate office (30 miles away) and if they have any that they will give me a loaner phone. I got a little P.O.'d at that response and sent them a little attitude back .... I fought and fought with them till finally they would "replace" my phone.. I told the lady to jam it right up her azz and just went paid for one. I tell ya... you would think that t-mobile would want their customers who represent them to doing so with reliable, and quality geared equiptment... but they apparently couldnt give a damn less about me.

Yea i know wat u mean, when your a customer in contract they really don't do much to make you happy. But when your out of contract they're willing to bend over backwards to do anything for you and talk you into being a valued customer for another 1 or 2 years. My contract just expired 5/10/06, and for the last 1 month I've called for ANYTHING, the make sure they tell me how much of a valued customer I am, and thank me for my continuous service with them.

I stay mainly because its the cheapest service I can get.

The phones still been working good for you? Good call quality and everything?

Whatever you decide, just don't start up with those antenna booster stickers it does not increase your reception as promised. I purchased one at www.theshoppersworld.com and it help ZERO with reception.

Better check more b/f purchaseing phone.

No!
I had problems with my X427 and got one of those stickers it's not worth the effort.
Don't purchase the phone without thorough reserch. And don't rely on those antenna boosters.
