Yes, thank you for responding. I purchased an unlocked T-Mobile V600. I have service with cingular. I insert my cingular card but the phone will not pick up the cingular network. It sits as if its out of range. I can take my nextel sim card and insert it, and it comes up with the nextel logo on the screen but it doesn't see the network for them either. Have a purchased a damaged phone or do I need to put a code in to get it to work properly?
Thanks for your help in advance

The v600 is quad band however t-mobile sometimes disable certain bands. I would flash with a stock / retail flex or monsterpack from http://www.motox.info/showpost.php?p=19259&postcount=4
If it still doesn't work the phone is most likely faulty

Thank you. But how do I go about reflashing the phone. What equipment do I use and which of the flash versions do I use?

Lets backup a min - I wasn't aware of what elmo said - we only have GSM in the UK - is there any message with a Cingular sim?
For how to flash check the flashing and firmware section.
@ elmo So do iden cards physically fit in GSM phones - do you have a link where I can find out a bit about iden?

I'm not in the UK. I'm in the US. I don't have the hardware needed to reflash a phone but thanks for you help.

You only need a pc and a cable.
The UK/US bit was directed at Elmo - what I told you is still valid
