My Backlight on my 6610 does not display when someone calls? Even with new 4.28 firmware, anyone else got this problem?

I have almost the problem as you. When a user in a selected caller group calls, the backlight does not work. This only happens when the profile is set to General. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?

my 7210 suffers from the same problem. it began only after i upgraded my software from 3.09 to 4.18... weird... no idea how to fix it...

 I went to Nokia about 2 weeks ago. They said they only have the 4.28 version for now. They've got no idea when the newer version comes in. This problem sucks cos you can't see who's calling you when it's dark. I mean the main purpose for the upgrade is to assign ringtones from the Gallery but now the backlight doesn't function!  Anyone here have any idea when the latest firmware is gonna be out?

ok my backlight isnt lighting up for any of my profiles!!!!

 I had exactly the same problem with my week old 6610. I have firmware version 4.18. I fixed it by just doing a factory reset.

I tried resetting the factory settings numerous times but the backlight still doesn't work. It's really hard to see who's calling you in the dark, even though you have the ringtones assigned. Anyone got ideas? Now I'm afraid if there is a newer firmware, will ALL the problems be solved?

I'm on 4.18 and I noticed this also. So this is a bug. I thought there was a problem with my phone unit.

I was curiously and tested it today... my 6610 works fine, light goes on
tested it in any setting which is described to make problems...
