Nokia 6682 and other "BB5" phones CAN NOT be unlocked with A CODE. You HAVE to send it to someone who has the unlocking hardware.
If someone tells you otherwise, they're full of shit.

They can be unlocked by code...
but only the providers and Nokia do have the algorithm to generate the unlock code.
Nobody was able to crack this algorithm, that's why several people do collect real unlock codes and IMEIs so they might figure out the algorithm.

That's a statement that can be a little misleading or misunderstood...it CAN be but not by "us" the non-Nokia folk.
So my statement is, in a way, correct, it CAN'T be unlocked by code....yet.
Found and excellent discussion on it here:

That WILL NOT WORK.
The 6682 is a BB5 phone. The link you gave only unlucks DCT3 and DCT4.
There must be an echo in here, because I swear that I said that the Nokia 6682 was BB5 phone before.

I learned a lot while I was trying to unlock Singular Nokia 8862 to use whith T-Mobile and find that only profesional can do it. If you have a right tool things gonna happend (I learn that from my wife) Any way I was trying to unlock it with software from Ebay with 100% garanty and its did not work for me. I can send it to any one who wants to try it. I could be wrong about it or it is just mine two computers. But you got to have DKU-5 OEM from Nokia to unlock it.
I unlock it I found a guy who can unlock any BB5 nokia. I met him at the mall, he has his loptop and couple of wires with box at the end of it. He took battery and SIM card and insert that box to the phone clicked some botoms on the screen and asked me for my SIM. He put everythig together and It works. Any one try to find such a guy at the lockal craigslist dot org site I paid only $25 for unlocking.
