T-Mobile, Spritn, and Verizon all have unlimited GPRS for 4.99/month. Why does cingular stick it to us and charges us 20.00/Month, thats nothing because it used to be 60.00/month.

yeah that sucks! thats tha only reason y i wanna switch to another carrier cuz tha internet is way higher than all tha others. Texting plans are too!!!! Jesus they tryna break our pockets. Maybe if we keep calling and complaining then corporate will begin to take heed to what their customers r saying!!!

Verizon's 5.00 internet plan just gives you internet access. You're billed standard airtime for browsing the web, and the same goes with the 15.00 VCast, so there is the trade off.

Smaller carriers like T-Mobile can afford to offer unlimitted data services as their spectrum's not that greatly used and provides an edge in competition. Cingular used to offer 4.99 unlimitted GPRS years and years ago, but as the customer count builds, spectrum becomes a bit more crampt, they can't afford congested towers by handing out the freebies, so they control it through pricing.

Cingular sucks at giving its customers good choices of internet plans.
