Hello, Im new to the boards...
Im thinking about buying a Motorola V3X from ebay, if I buy this phone will I be automatically able to use this phone if I just switched SIM cards from my old phone v505... I've heard somewhere I'd have to call cingular to upgrade my service to the 1900mhz... Is this any true? I will be using this phone for just phone calls in and out, and txt messaging... ( If this changes anything I have AT&T, I know its the same)

1900 mhz is one of the broadcast frequencies that former ATT operates on... the other is 850 mhz... the phone is capable of both...
the phone will auto detect the strongest signal
no need to upgrade... its already there
