RAZR V3i UNLOCKED ISSUES ON CINGULAR....
Phone calls work great...except roaming icon is always on.
Anyone know how to fix this? or what the issue is?
INTERNET ISSUES.
ive tried all the settings from Cingular's knowledge base.
one issue i cant seem to resolve.
OLD RAZR Network Settings: Gateway ip address
RAZR V3i - there is no gateway ip option. Only Proxy 1 and Proxy 2
I get the no data error, but if i punch in a specific URL, i can get to gmail and other sites no problem. MEdia Net is no where to be found. It cant seem to load it at all.
Got SMS to work fine - Inbound and Outbound
(Had to refer to a fellow friends older RAZR and copy the settings from it)
MMS is not working at all.
Config'd according to Cingualr's specs...no luck
Downloaded Opera Mini and it cant seem to find the Internet settings whatsoever....there are no options in Opera Mini to specify which network settings i want it to use.
ANY SUGGESTIONS from other peeps who have this phone would be SOOO HELPFUL.
Im sure people are tired of requests for network settings on this board but this phone specifically has some issues. Cant seem to resolve.
This is a great phone, with the exception of these network issues for Cingular.

Cingular can't toublshoot that to full extent due to it not being there product. Now 90% of the time I can get media net working but for some reason mms doesnt work when configured in phone

the roaming triangle is no big deal. if you want to get rid of it, you need to flash your phone. you can find the steps in the moto forum.
for the proxy1 try wap.cingular (case specific)
go here:
http://support.cingular.com/cngapp/support/index.jsp
and try sending the settings over the air. choose your phone as a V3, since the V3i isn't listed.

A company in Los Angeles on the west side called Wireless Experts sells the V3i via EBAY.
the price for the phone is good, but they charge premium prices for shipping, so the total cost of the phone is equiv to any brand new RAZR from Cingular.
