Greg, what is your beef with t-mobile?
I'm thinking of switching to them and would like more specifics.

Gregg,

I don't know the situations that you have been through so I can't say that I've been through the same type. I've been with only 3 service providers myself: Tracfone, Cingular, and T-Mobile. Tracfone was decent but at them time, about 4 to 5 years ago, the technology just wasn't there with them. I didn't get much service at home and that was the key point. After them, I decided to try a monthly plan with Cingular. At first I had no problems. Signed up, paid my bills and such and didn't have many complaints. Never really called them much unless it was about my bill which I deem a huge deal since it's taking my hard earned money. The times I've called them, it was just decent. One rep was nice and helped and another rep just seemed not to care. After switching to t-mobile, I get the same coverage as I did with Cingular and when I call in, the reps are fantastic.

Now I've worked in the technical care business for a long long time and I know how it is to take the calls. I use to be one of those that hated the company that I worked for because of management, customer's, etc. Now I realize that it's not just that but it was also me. I changed myself to be a better person and now enjoy my job. I enjoy taking calls from people on the phone, even when they are angry. Why? Because I've been there. I've been on both ends of those conversations and I think that a lot of the people that work at call centers like these lose sight of that.

With that said, this information may cause you to think of my opinion as biased. I work for T-Mobile. You may think that untrue from others that have posted here because I'm taking the time to type and my demeanor is a lot different. It is true though. T-Mobile does have values and hopes to deliver those to all of our customers. I've heard a lot of good things and bad things from customers and I'm sure you know that happens in every company throughout the world. It's typically all the same. I have the belief, though, that T-Mobile can become one of the greatest companies out there. I'm not trying to talk you into staying with T-Mobile. No one could have talked me into staying with Cingular because of my experience. My reason for this is to show you the soul of T-Mobile. T-Mobile constantly gathers information from customer's to help improve everyone's experiences. Your feedback is really important. I'm sure there are executives that take the time to browse these forums as well to get information on how you feel. Honestly, I've never seen any company that did that. We try our best to make your experiences the greatest on earth.

Sincerely,

I Am T-Mobile, Count On Me

Dear Sir or Madam,

I regret to have to send this letter, but I see no other option, other than to complain about Tmobile on the internet to anyone that is interested enough to read it.

About one month ago, I finally talked my husband into leaving Sprint /Nextel and going to Tmobile. I have been with Tmobile for about 4 years or so. What a mistake that was! I tried to get my account changed over to a business account, as our phones are used for my husband's Trucking company. I was told "all you have to do is pick up a form from any corporate store and fax in the information." This took three trips to our local corporate Tmobile store, as the first two trips they were "out of the forms." The third trip, they asked me if I had any more shopping to do, because they had to go get a form from another store? I went back in about 30 minutes, only to wait 20 more minutes before the form was tossed at me. I was told it was "self-explanatory" and " just call the number on it if you have questions."

And of course they had no way to fax it for me, I had to do that on my own. I was then even more leary, when I called to ask some questions and was told by "business care" that it would ONLY take about two weeks for the account to be activated. That was on 8/2/08.

Well, today on 8/12/08, after 3 futile phone calls to various supervisors on your team, I finally got disgusted and cancelled one of our lines. I am truly sorry I ever suggested that my husband come to Tmobile. All it got me was a lot of headaches! And on top of it, I will now be charged a $200.00 early termination fee. Unbelievable.

I won't hold my breath waiting for a reply, but I do thank you for your time.

marylab, that is a pretty lame story.
The $200 termination fee is your own fault for breaking the contract. I'm sorry about the form, and I can't believe that they couldn't email it to you.

TO ALL PRO T-MOBILE

who are you people anyway. If you think that the corporations in this country care at all about anything but securing thier finances then you haven't read a paper, seen a television, listened to NPR, or walked out your front door in about 10 years. Great so you can pay your bill fan-fckin-tastic do you even realize that almost 10% of this country is unemployed & not by their own choice. That it's the fault of corporations for outsourcing all possible work overseas to increase profits. I've noticed that most of the pro t-mobile people are either t-mobile reps. or work in other areas of the company. So go ahead & keeping bashing everyone that has legit problems with these corporatins & we'll see how you feel about all of this when your customer service job goes to India as mine did.

"Here's something for the little guy"
After many gut wrenching hours on the phone & a little bit of research.
I have the T-Moblie corporate phone number. This is the only one to use. Other numbers of the company pres. & so forth will only take a recording & they will not call you back or deal with your problem.
425-378-4000 will take you right to the main corporate office in Bellevue, WA where you can speak directly with customer service executive staff. They are the only people that can or will help with legitimate problems.
REMEMBER 425-378-4000 & KEEP CALLING THEM

I've had it with T-Mobile!
Suddenly I couldn't make most calls -- the rest cut off within 20 seconds. This was with 3-4 bars.
I called support, drove 20 miles to replace my sim card, but to no avail. I couldn't even call support.
I had verified with T-Mobile that I had exceeded my 2-year contract, so I canceled. But I got an $200 penalty because my wife had replaced a lost cell phone a year earlier -- which automatically extends the contract!
I made 3 efforts to fix my service problem but T-Mobile thinks I have limitless time took to fix -- and I called to verify the contract terms and got bad info.
I've been out of work since February and can't pay. T-Mobile isn't even willing to budge on the $200 pentalty. Never again will I use them. And I'll sound off on them on every Web site possible.
