Well some guys talk about it like its one of the best feelings to do to a girl...but then again, that's just guy talk. IDK, I think it's highly overrated and I wouldn't want to plug my girl in the wrong hole. The only benefit I would see, is that she wouldn't have a hard time taking a crap.

If it makes you feel any better, I just got myself in trouble. I was on the phone w/ a customer and she thought I was laughing at her (I forgot to mute icon_razz.gif )...she got pissed and said she was going to report me to my supervisor.

How did this go from a conversation about Barry Bonds to one about anal sex? (I think that's the first time anyone has spoken/written that sentence.)

I just moved to the SF Bay area, and thought I would take in a Giants game. I learned that the ballpark here just goes crazy when he comes up to the plate -- it's enough noise to register on a seismic level. And I just thought: how sad, how deluded these people are. Either they've got their heads in the sand, or they just don't care that he's a cheater, because he's theirs. I hadn't expected to feel depressed at a ballpark.

It got out of hand on that one. I apologize for that. Anyway, back to the subject...

...Just keep in mind that what I say are my opinions, and that it is not my intention to offend anyone.

On what you said about being at a ball game, sports can become a distraction if someone can't really deal with the pressures of everyday life. Coupled with beer & a lot of food, one can almost escape reality and just focus on what's going on at the moment, eg Bonds homer. It's just like the same thing for some people who watch TV shows. Sometimes someone might wonder why he/shecan't be a doctor in House, or doing something patriotic like being a CTU agent fighting terrorists in 24. I believe that sometimes people "tune out" and just focus on the immediate thrills that are happening. One "Yay" is one more second one doesn't have to think about their problem.

Also, if a team doesn't have a championship--let alone even having a chance to win a World Series--the people root for the next best thing. Granted that Barry Bonds is the so-called "bad boy" of baseball, him being able to beat the record of The icon of baseball gives the fans of SF something to cheer for. Now I'm not speaking for every fan of the sport (or any other sport for that matter). But I guess when you know that your team doesn't stand a chance at winning a championship, you accept the team for what it is & you tell yourself "They will never get any better, they'll never win." What's ironic is that when a team actually starts winning and has a shot at going all the way, [with the exception of the hardcore] fans tend to be negative and try to bring them down. Almost like that crab effect, where a bunch of crabs are in an aquarium. I moved to WA back in 2000 when there was this whole fiasco about the Mariners winning the World Series (given th fact that about half the team was comprised of All-Star caliber players). After that let down, the Mariners have been limping just trying to produce a winning record. When they win a few games, everyone is screaming, yet after a few moments you can actually hear almost the exact same people bring them down as if the whole team deserves to be in the doghouse. Same goes for the Sonics (after last year's impressive run, I have reason to be mad). But then again, I believe it's just a reflection of society...misery loves company. When people see an individual or group succeed, they are just as eager to see them fall from grace. I've only heard this word twice on TV (The Simpsons & Boston Legal), but I believe this is so true of modern day society: Schadenfreude.

Well, it's been a while now that he already broke the record of Babe Ruth. Now he has a shot at matching Hank Aaron's record. I'll admit though...love him or hate him, he supplies power at the plate.
