can someone give a rundown of all the essential n gage apps?
and what is the max mmc capacity?

That are the official cards sold by Nokia.
Cards up to 2 GB work without a problem in the phone... again depending on the brand... some work, some not.
But even 1 GB is quite alot on a phone... I've tried it... and never had the card more than half full...

it says on the website that a 128 card will hold about 50 games (i've never owned one, just getting my info from nokia.com)

Well, the size of N-Gage games is different... from less than 2 MB and up to more than 20 MB (and maybe even much bigger, but haven't seen bigger games so far)
And if you have 50 2 MB sized games, than yes
And even alot more if they are "normal" Series 60 Games which are normally less than 1 MB

oh thanks and another question..
when we get a new mmc there is nothing in it right? then how exactly do you have to format it?
i'm a noob in all this so please help!!

The phone will be able to recognize it and format it with the build-in memory app.
